What was the highlight of Palace Downtown
I enjoyed the location, view, hospitality and comfort. The carpet and fixtures need some upgrading.
The staff was excellent and helpful. The food was excellent except for the Thai restaurant. The location couldn't be better. Very convinient to everything. The pool side lounge and Al Bayt food and service was excellent. Front desk was very helpful. The location was very convinient to the mall and Burj Khalifa. Walking distance. The property grounds are well maintained and beautiful.
The carpets and fixtures are a bit old. The first few days housekeeping was lacking. They took the shampoo and conditioner bottles but didn't replace them. Didn't replace the drinking glasses and didn't hve fresh water bottles either. Last couple of days of our stay the room attendant named Bablu did a fantastic job of cleaning. Not only did he replace and add items, he left towel sculptures on the bed that were very welcoming. The Thai restaurant was overpriced and the food was not very good. Our Shrimp and fish was overdone and not as flavorful as the other restaurant's food was.
